Easy come, easy go

Other than Tuesday, what day is it today?

Give up?

It’s Bobby Sherman’s birthday. Maybe you have to be a baby boomer to care, but Bobby turns 64 today. That’s right the hearththrob of Here Come the Brides is a senior citizen.

Sherman dropped out of sight, becoming a policeman, after the series faded, but when He sang Julie, Julie, Julie, Do You love me? I substituted Dee dee, Dee dee, Dee dee–and swooned with everybody else.

Sigh. Now Bobby’s old enough to get the seniors discount at the movies. I guess it had to happen sometime, but there seems to be something very bizarre in that.

Wow, I always wondered what happened to him. He was a real cutie back in the day. Here Come the Brides was a favorite of mine during its short stint on the air.

I didn’t have anything to blog about today, so I stole Ebony magazine covers. Stop by if you get a chance.

Not familiar with him but think he looks pretty good and sounds like he’s lead a good life. I’m so tired of reading and seeing stories of once popular celebrities going down the wrong path once their fame winds down or seeing them do demeaning and stupid things just to remain in the limelight. Happy Birthday to Bobby Sherman.

    Paz,

You GOT to be kidding me. LOL Neva heard of Bobby Sherman? Sacrilege! I agree with you about being sick of stars doing all kinds of crazy just to stay noticed. Another happy birthday wish for you, Bobby.
