Popular wisdom for writers is not to quit your day job until you can support yourself with your writing. That option was taken from a Sioux Center woman who was fired from has been fired a job at Sioux Automation for writing a romance novel on company time. Oops!

I know the lovely dept. of education here in NY considers it “theft of electricity” to use a computer for your personal use on school time–even if it’s on your own lunch time. Sheesh.
Here’s the part of the article that really got to me. The woman’s supervisor got suspicious when she “noticed Shelton was typing almost constantly.”
Typing almost constantly? I wish I had it like that. My novels come to me in fits and starts and if I spent most of the day just typing the things that are in my head I’d be way more prolific. Damn.
