Methinks former reality show denizen and America’s Next Top Has Been winner and wife of the actor formerly known as Peter Brady Adrianne Curry puts the emphasis on the wrong half of compound word spokesmodel and actually speaks–alot–on her blog. I’d never heard of Curry until AOL did this posting on top celebrity meltdowns. There was Ms. Curry ragging on black history month of all things. It’s not so much her stance on it that is mind-boggling (I, too happen to believe that every month should be black history month and when the rest of the country finally agrees, well, you know). What I find absolutely stultifying is her notion that the rest of the country will be somehow affected because SHE decides not to watch BET any more. Hell, BET the network was banned in my house when BET the publisher put out my books. Big freaking deal.
Sorry, just had to vent. Not just about this boob, I mean, lovely person, but the modern concept of celebrity. As a society, we are at a lethal mix point–we seem to want to know everything about people who are willing to do anything to get our attention. And it ain’t pretty folks. It ain’t pretty.

I personally think she’s an idiot. I understood what she was trying to say, but girlfriend needs to really think before she writes or speaks. And I totally agree that who cares if she boycotts BET? I’ve never had any reason to watch BET except for when they were doing the TV Movies from the BET books. Half the time I couldn’t find it on my cable.
Huh? BET put out your books? Whadyya mean? I don’t pay attention to Peter or his wife. Uggh.
Paz
Hey Paz,
Yeah, Arabesque was BET owned for a while until it was sold to Harlequin.
All the best,
