Okay, I sort of stole the title from the PW article I read this afternoon. But for serious Christie fans, there is good news. Several of the grand dame of cozy mystery’s books will be reissued in hardcover (dust jackets and all) for $12. How’s that for an offer you can’t beat with a stick? Murder on the Orient Express, anyone?

Yes, YES, YESSS!!!

I know I can get a little snarky about my covers when I don’t think the publishers get them right. However I so love it when they get it right. I’m about to gush about my latest one from Dafina Books. My editor must have been reading my mind when she came up with the one for my November release, Body of LIes. WOW!! I opened the package and actually screamed when I saw the cover. Naturally my husband and son came running to see what the fuss was about. Neither one was quite as impressed as I was and went back to what they were doing grumbling about living with a crazy author.
I’m sorry but the cover is such a huge selling point that it’s worth screaming over one way or the other. When the cover matches the mood of the story, as this one does, it so much easier for readers to “get” what the story is about right away. It’s that cohesive package that really sells the book.
Well, I’m off to continue doing the happy dance. Hope everyone had a happy Mother’s Day.
